A brutal, heavy show, marking the return to Ithaca of 137. We started with the groove centered Death Metal of Ithaca's Chamber Law, putting on what may be their best performance to date. Followed by Rochester's 137, who have gone through many lineup changes since the last time they performed for us years ago. They are just again starting to do shows and get into the swing of things, sludgy and heavy as ever. Lethal Dose was up next, from Watkins Glen. I had never seen them before, and their demo songs were good. Live, however, they were freakin' awesome. I was completely blown away by their, slightly short, set, but that demo does not do them justice. Go see them live. And finally, Ithaca's own sheer brutality in Thirteen South. And Brutal they were.
